    Hi everybody!

Yesterday saw me shooting at the Llandaff City Bowmen's annual Portsmouth competition on the morning session. Everything was going well, plenty of 10,10,9 ends setting up a lovely first dozen, and then a few arrows into the second dozen..disaster!! I slipped up on the draw and the cams bit, jerking my arm upwards and I accidentally ripped through the trigger. The ceiling in the club is really low so my arrow that was going to go above the target and hit the backstop ...

    Hi everybody!

Well the indoor target season is almost over for me. I shot the Welsh Indoor Senior Champs back on January 22nd and scored 555 on a FITA18. This is about 10 below what im shooting on club nights, but was still a 6 point increase on my competition PB and was good for 12th place out of 24 in gents unlimited so I was very happy with the result for my first indoor season with a compound. The next and last target shoot I am down for is an open Portsmouth hosted by Llandaff ...

After the morning session I was ...

    Hi everybody!

Since the last post, I have spent some time getting the bow set up as well as I am able and some specific excercises to strengthen my arms. The first thing I did was make sure the nocking point is correct and then some walkback tuning to make sure the 2315's are leaving the bow correctly. Once that was done, I made a minor adjustment to the travel and pressure of my trigger and have tried to drum into my form to maintain that pull into the back wall and use that to activate ...

    My 2315's are here!!

As mentioned in my previous blogs comments, I caved in and ordered myself some big allys for the indoor season to try them out and see how much difference it makes. The ones I ordered weren't available so the shop allowed me to change my order, and I now have my hands on half a dozen X7 Eclipse 2315's. I only ordered 6 as I figured they are shot in 3 arrow ends, at seperate targets and 3 live + 3 spare should be ample, and to keep the costs down this close to ...
