Arrow to weak or light?

Afternoon!

I've recently acquired some new arrows for my 30lb recurve, and was curious about their suitability. Before I've been using 30" 1816 XX75s, and these new arrows are 29.25" 3X-04 ACCs with 70g parabolic points. Easton recommends 3-04 or 3L-04 for 30lb. Will these still do the job?

Thanks

I'm sure they'll do the job if the 1816s did. They are in the same group, and only slightly weaker than the 3L-04s. :)

The only way to know is to shoot a few bareshafts. If they dimension is right, you should be able to move the bareshaft from right of the fletched group to left of the fletched group, by adjusting plunger pressure.

XX75 1816 has a spine number of 756 and the ACC 3X-04 have a 830 spine. Thats about 70 units of difference, which might be a problem. However they are also 3/4" shorter, meaning they will be about the same when shot. I think they will work just fine, if you were happy with the 1816:s.
