Activa or Dual Click?

So how about some voting...and possibly some reasons? Which would you prefer? The prices are only about $15 apart, so price is not really to much of a problem. I think I would like the Activa elevation style better, but I know the Shibuya has been known for a solid sight. Dilemas ..dilemas...

I got the Activa as my first sight. It rattled quite a bit because the sight head is not very tight on the rails. This can be cured by sliding a short (maybe 3mm) length of heat shrink tubing over each end of the two rails and shrinking the tubing with a bit of heat. Makes the sight nice and solid.

I have not used the Shibuya sight so cannot comment on how good or bad it is.

The shibuya dual click is a nice sight - quick adjustment, sturdy, no rattling - i have not had any problems with this sight when i used it now have a SF which is a good sight to.

IMO,the elevation style is better on the Activa, but at a price. Its nice and clicky clicky and does the job but it rattles very badly.I got cable tie around mine which helps, but its not ideal.

The Dual Click's elevation style isn't as precise but the windage is.It doesn't rattle and feels better engineered.

I'd pick the Shibya. However with hindsight,i would buy the Ultima and not the Dual Click. Its worth the extra dollars IMO.....Sorry to throw a spanner in the works :)

With experience of both, my vote goes to the dual click.

It's well engineered and reliable, unlike the Activa (in my opinion).

However, as has been suggested, if you like the style of the Activa, take a look at the Shibuya Ultima.

If you have money for a SHIBUYA buy one a brand used by the majority of archers at the olympics what does that tell you. I have a duel click the windage and elevation is very accurate because it is very well made no rattle worth every penny will last you a life time as long as you do not hit it with hammers on a regular basis:rotfl::rotfl:

I think one of the issues with the elevation stlye on the Dual C is I may be comparing it to my Cartel Medalist Lite,..which... has a plastic threaded elevation know...I can actually see small bits of thread fall when I go up (not down) ...even with the lock knob completely loose...I don't feel like this is good. :) So...I would prefer it all to be metal as far as the workings are concerned. Not to mention, it seems quicker with the Activa style,...but perhapse I may need to waiver back to the Dual C style... Is that elevation thread metal or plastic? As far as the Ultima.... ... ... that is starting to breach the budget slightly.. :)

Ok....Shibuya it is... The standard ...unless I can swing the Ultima... I do have that one question for those that have it or have had it... Is that elevation thumb screw plastic or metal threads? I would prefer the metal on metal contact... plastic and metal are not friends. :)

Ok...so the dual click was ot of stock at my closest place, so I did upgrade to the Shibuya Ultima RC Standard. I was stuck between that and the Win & Win WS600 ..nearly the same price, but he assured me the Shibuya was a better sight. Anyone know if it is a heavy sight? I heard somewhere it was 1.75lbs... (28oz) ...is that right? Considering the one I have now is only arround 8oz ... ... ?

I shopped around and found a shibuya ultimate at the same price as a dual click. I believe the sight can't be beaten, easy to adjust but secure without any wobbles. :duck::duck::duck::duck:

Glad to know... there was'nt to much of a difference in price from Lancaster and I was too impatient to wait for the Dual click to come in, so I upgraded... I am just a little worried about the weight...I hope its not much different... (Shoulder injury)

I would say dual click, the activa rattles way too much, my bro had it and returned it the very next day, because of its rattling, and go t a cartel 2000 sight instead

Good to hear...I don't know where the 1.75lbs came from! :) a 2oz difference then what I have should be barely noticable... ... ... In theory. From what everyone here has said...it seems the upgrade was not needed but I will be happy that I did. :) Thanks everyone.

I don't think a few hundred grams would affect your shoulder badly.

One of my club members never shot again due to this problem,sad...(Great archer)

Just take it easy...
