Change of weight = change of spine?

After much pain in my shoulder and elbows, I thought I might lower my draw weight a bit (I struggle to do a full round before the pain makes me want to smash all my equipment), the trouble is my arrows seem to prefer the weigh I currently shoot (Easton ACG, 710 spine @ 27 1/4") around 38lbs. I say prefer because they are all over the place despite retuning button etc.etc when I go below 38lbs. So I assume they are a little on the stiff side. As I cant afford new arrows would fitting heavier points help?
Thanks

Sometimes putting in heavier points makes the arrows weaker, but also slows the bow down, making the bow seem weaker, too. You can end up with lower sight marks and not much benefits to arrow match. You could try a lighter draw weight, but try to keep up the bow speed with a lighter string( fewer strands and less serving.)Sometimes lowering the brace height helps, but that will depend on where that is at present. If it is already very low, lowering it some more could make it worse.
