Ex-Prime limbs to be phased out

I saw a message on one of the archery shop websites recently warning that delivery of ex-primes would now be sketchy as they are being phased out in favour of the newer (and much more expensive) Wiawis NS limbs. Is there any truth in this? I'm currently using Rapido limbs but in order to improve from third to second class I'm trying to shoot 60 and 70 metres more frequently and feel I'm in need of going up in poundage/. Like most people, if I'm going to change something i'd like to upgrade to something better and thought ex-primes would be the ideal choice. The difference in price between ex-primes and NS limbs though is massive (on average about 120) and I don't think as a third class archer chasing second I'm good enough to notice the possibly marginal improvement that 120 buys - I'd rather spend that on a set of new arrows. If the rumour is true I guess I'm going to have to take the plunge and buy the ex=primes sooner rather than later before they are discontinued.

I don't shoot win and win, but I would imagine that, like all companies, with the new flagship being launched, and being more expensive, they will phase out the old model....

Personally, if you were one of my students, I would advise you to go for an intermediate set of limbs before spending big money, as you will very possibly want to change limbs and arrows, and possibly riser, again as you get up towards first / bowman class. You don't say what poundage you are shooting now, but you don't need 500 limbs to get to first class. I would be looking at either Uukha EX1's, Seb Flute Elite carbon / foam or the WNS Elite carbon / foam. All of these are more than good enough to get bowman scores with. Then saves you a good chunk of cash for some nice new carbon arrows to match them.

I'd also throw Border's CVW limb into that mix - Fastest conventional recurve out there, British made, and if you need customer service you'll be speaking to the bowyer on the other end of the phone.

I made Bowman with Rapido limbs before moving to Ex-powers, (no great improvement) and now Uukha X-curves, (vast improvement). I believe the WNS Elite carbon foams would be more than good enough for you to get to Bowman in the correct poundage.

Wia-Wis wood or carbons are only a couple of 's more than the Ex-powers & a "younger" limb design. Surely a win win (sorry ) option.

AI site doesn't seem to like my smiley!
I'm looking at upgrading from my SF Ulitimates & I'm looking at W&W or Uukha, just having made my mind up yet. Narrowed it down to a choice of three limbs, but just trying to get more information on the new NS limbs before hitting "buy now" button.
