That depends on how much you tighten it... A good dollop of grease and some strength applied judiciously can fasten things up to the point where they won't normally come loose. I say this from experience, having had occaision to swear one time when I came to remove a v-bar/extender from my handle that I'd made sure wasn't going to move during shooting... :bang:

You are adding another joint to an area that has to deal with quite a bit of stress during the shot, but from what I've seen, most quick releases are very reliable and make attaching your longrod a lot easier.

Do what I do with mine - after every six shots I just check it for tightness. It becomes a habit after a while and takes no time to do.

It seems that some QRs are good and some less so (like most things really). A chap at our club has the Cartel one and he seems quite happy with it, but still has to tighten it occassionally.
