As the proud owner of one of your Harrier GL's can you answer these 2questions please.

68" Harrier GL 42#

Firstly the string supplied untwisted the other day , obviously I can twist it back up again but how far, long etc to give the optimum draw ??

Secondly does the carbon fibre make it safe to leave a bow like this strung all the time ?

Thanks Nick.

firstly, welcome to the forum...

Yes you can leave the bow strung. Glass and carbon have similar elastic properties, in that as long as you dont take it past its strain point then its ok. You will know if you have taken it past its strain point as it will be broken. so while having it strung is not going to take it anywhere near this.

As for the Brace height... well, you have a fun one here.
If you have the brace height at say 3" then the design will very very unsteady. But that is not the recomended brace height.once you get it past 7" you will start to get into a nice steady geometry, also where the limbs go into a competition legal continious curve. This is a slight curve on the harrier, but still its continous.
As for all our flatbows the brace height should be as low as possible, without the string hitting your hand, and without the bow becoming unstable in the case of the harrier. In the case of the harrier the BH range that works well on a 68" is about 7.25-7.5"
but some people have found that they can get away with different, as it depends on you setup.
