To celebrate...

Well after succeeding in making my first longbow i thought that she deserved a fresh* set of arrows... and at about ?2.75 a pop i think that's a bargain...

All spine and weight matched, hand cut fletchings/nocks and some saucy binding...

Hopefully the weather will have sorted itself out for Sunday...

*I seem to be addicted to arrow making, and find it very theraputic but am a bit miffed that it only took a couple of days to knock these out. I was thinking of barrelling but at the rate i still seem to break/lose them this extra effort... i don't hink will be rewarded! :)

Cheers

I've previously built my arrows with horn inserts, but for expediency switched to without... they seem to work ok and none have yet split...

(fingers crossed)

Although it is probably worth doing and is very pretty so i think i'll go back to horn for the next bunch...

Actually i think after slotting 12 Ash 3/8 arrows i was fed up with horn inserts! But for POC i can cut a slot in seconds! :)

Cheers
