Hand Built Cresting Machine

Here's the baby . . . .

Well my Dad always said, 'if something is worth building, build it to last.'

Take the following:

  • A pair of my Daughters old in-line roller skates ans strip out bearings.
  • A couple of strips of 1 x 1 Aluminium 'L' strips.
  • Sewing Machine Motor.
  • Variable Power Controller Module.
  • Scrap wood.
  • A Rubber door stop, 4 thin bolts and 2 large washers for the chuck assembley

And the result is pictured above.

I'm no engineer but careful drilling and a bit of common sense enabled me to construct a very high precision cresting jig.

Hope it inspires you and hope you like it :)

Any questions about the construction, ask away . . . . .

Now that's a beauty!

And only 'slightly' more professional looking than my effort! ;)

I now feel ashamed of my effort and will at least have to varnish it - before i commence a raid on the wifes sewing machine :)

Cheers
