    bow advice needed

I'm fairly new to archery and want to buy a new take down bow, I've picked a riser i fancy but it's 19" and i have a 31" draw, can I get limbs long enough to cope with my draw length??

Looking at a 19" riser on line, it says it can take limbs to give a 60 or 62 " bow. It sounds like a "hunting" bow riser rather than a target bow. One problem with the riser is the sight window is short so using a sight will probably mean you cannot shoot too close if you anchor under your jaw.
As for the limbs reaching your draw length; it might be possible, but I think it would require some checking out with the limb manufacturers.

Yes. I've got a Martin Jaguar Elite riser, which makes a 62" bow with ILF longs and a 60" with mediums, so I figure it would be classed as a 17". I draw over 30" (on a good form day anyway...) and haven't had a problem with either set of limbs. Granted, somebody more accustomed to longer target bows may complain of finger pinch, but I shoot short bows so that's just how it is. Is there a reason for wanting to go so short?

just prefer the look and feel of the shorter riser and plan to take up field archery so a shorter bow will be more manageable in the woods etc

There are a few manufacturers that will make you XL limbs - those that have a big following in the field and hunting market often look after short bows and long draw lengths. Don't expect it to be the budget end of the market, though.

That's as good an answer as any, and pretty much the same as mine!

Also, remember if you are talking about mixing and matching limbs and risers, between the short riser and your long draw you will be pulling noticeably more than the marked weight; My long ILF limbs are marked 40# for a 25" riser, but scale a bit over 50# for me
