    AIUK Winter League 2011/12

Now the dust has started to settle on the removal boxes in the AIUK bunker I'm starting to have a think about this year's AIUK Winter League format. In the poll I've given a few options, let me know your thoughts and any alternatives you'd like to see. Poll is multiple choice.

    Cheers

Really liked the mix of Portsmouth and a FITA18 that we did a few years back. And it breaks up the monotony of always shooting the same target face in the "exciting" indoor season. Even the Portsmouth/Frostbite/FITA18 combination would be good.

Is it worth having a split on this between recurve and compound? I expect most recurvers would favour Portsmouths, but compounders probably not.

definitely the mixed bag - and what the hell, chuck the frostbite in too! The indoor season is boring enough without shooting the same round day in day out. Can't see why bow type would make a difference though?

This time I'm going to get it right .... or possibly not

I chose straight portsmouths (even as a compounder), mainly because I know I will get at least one portsmouth in every month
Knowing is half the battle, the other half is violence

Presumably we're allowed to shoot 3-spot versions of Portsmouth/FITA 18's?

I chose 4 Portsmouth, 1 FITA 18 and a Frostbite. As tel said, it gets boring shooting the same rounds all the time! Would be good to get a cheeky outdoor one in there too, maybe incorporate the AIUK Ironman into it?

As I'm 2 1/2 hours from the nearest competition and my club, I'm just tickled to have a regular goal for myself. When I shoot comps, it is more likely fita 18,
although we shot a FITA 25 on the 60cm target. So I voted 3+3, portsmouth and Fita 18.
Thanks so much for putting this together!

Looks like I can't participate. The club has no Portsmouth rounds scheduled for one month

Martin, if you shoot (have shot) a Portsmouth in October, let me have that score for you absent month. Looks like the leagues going to run November to March this year instead of Oct - March.

I know I expressed a pref earlier - but should I have registered somewhere too? Sorry - been a while

Haven't shot indoor yet anyway so maybe I should let it go - the same way as everything else

This time I'm going to get it right .... or possibly not

Not yet, tel, I should have had registration open a few weeks ago but there's been problems with the scripts and finding the time to input all the info. and set up the submission scripts (which are now sorted ). All I need do now is do all they info. inputting and we should be ready to go.
