    My new bow

    ....Arrived today.

Iím relatively new to Archery and Iím thinking my nice new Samick SHT is not some super advanced bow so was more than a bit surprised that it came with zero instructions. No guide, no recommendations, nothing..not one bit of paperwork in the box, not even the usual unwanted marketing blurb.

Still, on first impression it seems nice enough. Should be even better once I work out the correct brace height etc.

Then Iíll need some new arrows as my old ones canít seem to cope with the heavier draw weight.

Not tried the SHT but have a Samick Deermaster which is a nice bow. For brace height this PDF might help.

Sie haben keinen Zugriff auf diesen Bereich! Or “you don’t have access to this area” so I’m guessing you need to be registered to view.

But thanks for the link Steve. I think I’m nearly there as I spent some time today going up from 7 1/2” to just a shade under 8” which is just about right I think. I’ll shoot the new string in for a while and see how that is.

I also assembled some wooden arrows which was fun as I’ve only ever Stuck fletchings back on before.
Then I decided to go the full distance and took off the arrow rest before firing a few of the new arrows into the practice butt in the garage. Amazingly the points stayed on.

Recently I’ve removed the clicker, the stabilisers and the sight. If I keep taking bits off at this rate I’ll be throwing the arrows down the range...

Hmmm...not sure why it won't let you view, it works for me. It shows brace height as 7 7/8"- 8 2/3" . If you Google 'Samick brace height' it should be top of the list.
