[RECURVE] V-bar and extender fittings

I've been shooting recurve for about 5 months now and decided to invest in some more equipment. I'm currently only using an Easton ACE VRS carbon long rod. I'm looking to buy my first set of side rods which will be the Easton ACE VRS carbon short rods.
My question is, do I have to use the same manufacturers v-bar and extender, or are the fittings the same across the board for different manufacturers allowing me to mix and match?

Most of these things are 5/16" UNF. I have seen one that is 8mm, but there is a 5/16" option from the same manufacturer.

Just be careful when buying 2nd hand, old stabilizers had 1/4" UNC thread, you still bump in to them from time to time. Finding adapters to fit them on a modern riser with 5/16 UNF thread is a challenge. The weights on the ends of modern stabilizers still have 1/4" UNC thread.
