    What is it?

    This piece of equipment was left at our club last weekend following a competition, but nobody knows what it is or what it's used for. Any ideas?

    Hi Dave, it looks like some significant shaping on the end of the piece that pivots. Any chance of a pic to show up that shaping? I can't make out how it looks completely. And a hole, does it go right through?
    The threading goes into the black round rubbery part, but not out at the other end. Does the black thing screw up and down on the thread? Can it come off, or not?
