As has been said it depends on the archer, but you can shoot arrows that are too long and cut them to exact length later. It depends what sort of shooting you are doing (target or field) and what sort of arrows. Arrows that are too short are
very dangerous as they can jam into the belly of the bow if overdrawn and then explode at loose.
If you are going to use wooden arrows it is a good idea to get into making your own by buying shafts, flights and points and assembling them yourself. Shafts tend to come in 32" length, which you would cut to suit your draw, or maybe an inch longer to allow for the point to break off once if field shooting and to then be replaced. that way your arrows get two lives
and you end up with two sets (one an inch shorter than the other).
You can buy cheap ones off the internet for practice , they will prob' be 32" length.
You also need to consider the spine (stiffness of the arrow) this should be selected to suit the poundage of the bow, but you may find a different spine suits you better later on.
