Arrow size reduction and spine selection

    Hi Folks,
I'm after some advice. I have a draw weight of 40lbs and currently shoot 27.5 inch ACE 620 spine arrows with 100 grain points (51gr insert, 49 grain screw in point). The bareshaft is generally within the group at 20yds-30m. (when i shoot correctly!)
Am considering reducing the arrows to 27inch so the clicker is more vertical (as currently its right out as far as the clicker plate reaches).
Would reducing the arrow length by the 0.5inch change the spine enough to change the tune?
Easton arrow charts 'suggest' 620 - 670 spined arrows (as 40lb draw is on the limit of both the 36-40 and 40-44lb weight groupings), but that if 670 spine is chosen "recommended" pt weight is 90grains.

I'm leaning towards 670 spined arrows plus either 90 grain or 100 grain points.
Any pearls of wisdom gratefully appreciated on this.

It will affect the tune, yes. I would suggest 110-120gn points if you must shorten them. The best idea would be to leave them alone.

I agree with TT leave them alone. Use a magnetic clicker, they are length adjustable and do not need a plate.
