    Cheery thread

After gawd knows how long in the doldrums, things are all on the up; draw worries gone, target panic gone, health okay. Did our end of outdoor season club shoot and despite an average score in very windy conditions (bad on 50m, much better at 30), it was great fun.
    My son shot well too.

I think we accept itís an occasional pastime, not a main hobby as we do so much other stuff but thatís fine.

Lost an ACG (it rained too; my sight got covered in water; released slightly by accident!) but hey ho, it happens.

    Anyway back to positive threads.

    Hope youíre all well?!

It's good to read something from someone coming through a dip... A lot don't make it. Have fun, and remember that even if you leave things for a while, you can always come back to it.

Here's hoping, my current malaise has me looking at several grands worth of archery kit and still coming up with a meh! To eBay or not eBay that is the question. Weirdly, still buying stuff in the vain hope of using it at some point. Hey Hoo, good for you Kernowlad. It's just so dreary, damp and dark at the mo.

Andy; I honesty felt similar many times with so much invested in kit but my son is still up for it (just bought him six new arrows; heís outgrown his old ones!) and rather than trying to pursue some unreachable goal I think I accept Iíll probably just remain an ďokayĒ archer and thatís fine.
My son has potential to get really good but I have a feeling he is similar to me; enjoys it but not worried about taking it too seriously.

Luckily the kit is all pretty durable and low maintenance (just the occasional string wax and clean).

I do have a rather achey right bicep today though!!

It's good to read that you are feeling happier with your archery.
Archery is great fun, so long as you do your own archery your own way; and don't get into a rut of trying to do things that aren't "you".
A few archers that I know, went into longbow because it suited them better and they enjoy what they do far more than shooting the recurve bows that they were used to from their beginners course.Enjoy!

Yep I enjoyed a bit of longbow too; will probably do more.
Face to a name time; I’m in the dark green top in the background, light beige Hoyt cap on and a cheesy grin.
