What you can post

You can post anything relevant to the sport of archery, cake and anything socially acceptable that makes the board a fun and friendly place. Remember to place your message in the correct forum area; that way it is more likely to attract the attention of someone knowledgeable in the subject.

What you can't post

No defamatory statements
Defamatory statements are, for example, statements that contain certain kinds of untrue factual information about a person or a company that is derogatory. As a general rule, avoid repeating vague and unsubstantiated rumors about someone or some company. Stick to your experiences and your opinions, based on what you know not what you have heard on the grapevine.

Personal Attacks
No flames, personal attacks or contentious off-topic comments: The idea is to make this a pleasant environment to discuss archery.

Non-Sponsoring Retailers
Discussions and or links to non-sponsoring retailers must be kept to the appropriate section of the Directory. Reviews, discussions and links to non-sponsoring retailers within the forums will be removed without notice.

Watch your language. Foul, offensive, or crude language is not welcome. Also, although it is not required, most posts are in English. Board members who are native English speakers should remember that, although this is a UK board, there may be members for whom English is a second language. Allow for the possibility of misunderstandings, and be patient if someone asks for an explanation of what seems to be obvious.

The events calendar is for club shoots only. You may not post the date and details of any commercial event not associated directly with an archery club where a fee is charged for entrance and/or the event takes place at or within a commercial enterprise.

Discussion of illegal activities such as software piracy and other intellectual property violations, or advice on fraudulent activities are not allowed and will be removed. Bow hunting is an illegal activity in the UK and it's discussion will be at the discretion of administrators/moderators. Photographs of dead/wounded animals will be removed.

Copyrighted or trademarked material

You can't post copyrighted material or a reproduction of registered trade/service marks without permission from the author or owner. For example, this means that, without prior permission, you may not post a verbatim copy of an equipment review from an archery magazine or e-zine, or an image of a manufacturer's trademarked logo.

Tournament and other Date/Event Listings

While we try to be as accurate as possible with listings that we or members of the forum have posted we advise you to check with organisers before travelling as we canot be held responsible for events that are cancelled at short notice. And please do check the address of the venue with the organisers - typos may creep into our listings (if you spot one, be a good sport and let us know).
We also recommend that you visit to list your event there in more detail.

Thread Naming

When you create a thread please name it something appropriate, i.e. if you're asking about Cartel Triples, include Cartel Triples in the title. This makes it much easier for others to search and find your thread. Don't just call it: 'problem with my arrows...'

Archery Interchange Shoots

AIUK will not be held liable for any damages or financial loss incurred by an unofficial gathering of its members to shoot and/or socialise.

When signing up for an official AIUK Shoot you must be covered by the relevant governing body for the shoot; i.e. GNAS, NFAS.

Please keep to the topic of the title when replying to threads.

Administrators and Moderators will remove off-topic posts and their responses without notice or explanation. In the case of threads wandering off to a different archery discussion the moderator may split this thread off into its own thread.
