All British & Open - sunday

As I said before, the All British is a two day shoot, and so I took photos on the second day as well as the first... mostly to see other people, and to get to parts of the two courses that I hadn't managed on the Saturday. These photos can be found HERE

*Breaths in* OK, the first of many archery photos as I'm halfway through a busy period for archery photos... these two albums are from Evesham weekend before last. These were legs 2 & 3 of the National Tour (the Tier 1 shoots). Coming up in the next few weeks are the University Champs, the Disability Champs, possibly a few from GNAM & then the County Team Tournament... Lilleshall is getting to feel like a second home!

Any how!! Saturday at Evesham can be found in THIS ALBUM

And on to Sunday, which can be found HERE, is similar, but with different photos...

I have enjoyed going through the pics. at first all the compound archers look almost identical in their draw, but after a while I began to notice there are quite a lot of differences. probably being a elb user i find all the shiny bits distracting!

Bimble, are you on Instagram? I imagine you could get quite a following with your shots, they are wonderful. I do enjoy perusing your flickr and posted photos.

    Disability Champs 2018

Because I'm at a risk of falling several shoots behind, I thought I'd best get on with it with some photos from the 2018 Disability Champs, sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Fletchers. For those of you who don't know, these are a championships held for all archers with some sort of disability (not only Paralympic categories). I can't remember how open it is, mostly because I didn't look at the prospectus, but the principle is to be inclusive, so all are welcome.

This is a two day shoot, with the first day compromising of a 720 qualification round, followed by H2H matches. For the non-Paralympic disciplines, all the way to the gold medal match, with the Paralympic medal matches happening on the second morning on a proper finals field, with music and all that (as preparation for international matches)

Photos from the first day can be found HERE, whilst photos from the second day can be found HERE

yeah, a lot of the basics for all archery is the same, but then you get the little differences that you get between the bowstyles, and then you get the small differences that you can find amongst the individual archers.

I will admit, I hadn't even thought of it until you mentioned it there... I might try to sort out some of my favourite photos and start putting one a week up. Some recent ones, along with those from the archive.

    County Team Tournament

This weekend is the County Team Tournament up at Lilleshall (sunny, but very breezy at times), and Saturday was the team head-to-head day. If you've watched any of the WA team matches, the format here will be slightly strange because the matches were run as the earlier WA matches, where each team shoot their six arrows concurrently in the two minutes allowed.

The full album can be found HERE
