Go round to a friends house and drink beer, when you get home, lie to the missus that it was a superb evening's practice. Reminds me that there used to be a pub in London called 'The Office', guys could call home saying they were 'staying late at the office', and they were telling the truth!

Start getting grumpy on a Tuesday when you see that the weather forecast for Saturday has suddenly changed to 20mph winds, 2 degrees and snow when all you want to do is shoot your longbow !!!!!!!!!!!!!

didnt go down to the field today but I did a couple of Portsmouths in the sunshine yesterday. One of the joys of being retired. The disadvantages include being poor, not seeing you mates who still work etc

due to some sort of holiday on sunday there is no archery : ( so it will be either working on building my daughters den in the garden or if the water flowing through the garden gets a bit much I will be stuck indoors with said daughter as wifes away . either way : /
