    I would second Jerry's thinking. After a long time out it takes a lot of determination to try to get back the shooting form and the enthusiasm can be harder to rediscover than we might imagine. The compound is the easiest bow to restart with and give decent results.

    If you keep hold of anything it's condition will depend on where you want to store it. Damp garage or hot/cold loft/attic spaces are not good for archery kit. If I thought I would be out of the sport for 10 years+ I would sell the lot, especially if it's relatively new kit.
    An archers only opponent is his mind.
