    FITA Field Round Barebow

Quick question - When shooting Barebow on a FITA field round, are you allowed notes? For example, target distance, sight marks? I couldn't see it in the rules.

no to sight* marks, but you are allowed target distances (as they appear in the rule book, and you're basically allowed that)

    * - or what passes as "sight" marks for a barebow.

Yes, I'm trying to learn the sight marks at the moment but I was a little worried about 'performance anxiety'. I'll just need to get them down pat.

It's nice to know that the target distances are ok though.

You are allowed to put marks on your tab if you string walk (all of equal size and colour and without distance numbers, basically just small lines) but no written memorandum for personal sight marks. You are allowed to carry the min and Max distances for the four faces for the unmarked round.

This is one of the reasons why the 'Black Widow' tab is popular with barebows, because it's stitched leather you can count stitches to help you stringwalk.
