    Hi Ben,
    I like your post.
I am not sure that you have misunderstood, or is it me? I thought the original question was interesting.
I would have said, if the string lines up beside the riser, just move the draw hand by about 1mm and it will line up down the centreline of the bow. But that would not be an answer to the question, really.
I did point out that to get the arrow on the string line, the arrow would be up against the riser or a string's width away. The button would be only just clearing the sight window.
On first inspection, it sounds like it " could" have been a nice idea. After thinking it through, the effect of setting up to the string beside the sight window creates a situation where the arrow is too close to the sight window.Somewhere in the OP there is a bit about " nothing changes as the draw is made" when in fact the angles change, creating a different situation from the imagined one. To move the string from one position to the other, at full draw, requires a very small adjustment of the anchor point. It seems logical that it would have a similar effect on the movement of the arrow at set up. In truth the arrow has to move far more than the string. The arrow moves the "real" distance from normal to the riser. the string moves about a tenth of that.

"Whilst I'm always in favour of asking "why" and questioning the established thinking, this idea of setting centershot at full draw, for me, just goes in the box marked "crackers".

There is no need to be rude!

You are quite right and I apologise for you misinterpreting my attempt at humour as rudeness
