Where to find the rules about string walking and face walking?

A beginner is wanting to shoot barebow recurve and barebow longbow. I am not clear on the rules that apply ; what body applies which rules? He is wanting to string walk but does not know which rules will apply to which bow.

Obviously a longbow without one of those new fangled elastic band thingamajigs for aiming or a rubber duck sat on the grass

    Hi Ben,
He wants to shoot at The Dunster week competitions. I guess that means AGB.
For my own information for the future, I would be happy to have all the different rules. Usually, when I read posts on this, there always seems to be different ideas about which rules apply. Getting them from the horse's mouth seems the only way to be sure.
