Wanted - ACE 620 arrows / shafts

looking for some ACE 620, at least 27.5 shaft length.

not worried about how many, I want to do some testing. ( I let merlin talk me into getting 570s, and they are a bit stiff, so want to try some 620s before increasing poundage)

2 or 3 would suffice to at least test

I have a test set of 4 each (2 fletched, 2 unfletched) ACEs of 520, 570, 620, 670, 720. All with screw-in points to allow optimisation of point weight. All about 29". You're welcome to visit & do some tests - if you're up for a trip to London.
Of course, TimidToad would tell you that it's possibly to get several different spines to work well with the same bow. I know my bow will tune well with ACE 620s or 670s, and maybe other spines either side too. All I have to do is use different point weights, button pressures, etc. etc. Have you tried upping the point weight on your 570s to the max recommendation by Easton, or even a bit more? That would make them behave more like 620s (and they would carry better in windy conditions).

they have 120 grain in already.

To be honest, they fly nicely, but they land left (particularly at 90m) - ( i am a lefty) and if i wind the sight pin any more in it will disappear behind the riser.

I know there are things I can do, but wanted to try a few 620s first ( missed out on a set by a pound on ebay, was gutted ) I woudl come down, to try yours, but un fortunately im in the midlands, and dont really get much of an escuse to come down to london way. Big thanks for the offer though.

I guess one thing would be to take them slightly out on the button, but I think ( i do sometimes) that would then change the windage at different distances, woudlnt it?

Hi

I have a full set ACG 610s at 29" to end of shaft, they are wrapped, fletched and nocked.
Let me know if you want to chat.

Thanks

Am I missing something here? If you are a lefty, the arrows are landing further left than you'd like and the sight pin is well in towards the riser, aren't those indications that the 570s are a bit weak rather stiff? I wouldn't expect to see a big difference from point weights, but if you've any spare points, maybe break some down to 100gn and see which way they shift - I'd expect them to move slightly right for a lefty.

That is what I'd have thought. Although what I experienced when trying to tune for my old X7's recently was that with fletched arrows I could move them left or right quite a lot (left or right of the aim point) purely by adjusting button pressure. The unfletched arrows went well right, whatever I did with the button (I shoot right handed, I took this as an indication my arrows were too weak).

From what I have read your shafts are possibly weak. Although the only way to find out is a bareshaft test - At 18m what is the position of the balanced bareshaft to your average group size. I assume limb tips straight, centreshot as would be expected etc. If it is in the group then I would also look at your form alignment when shooting and your bow is vertical. Arrows drifting Right or Left does not always indicate spine.
