Clicker plate for old Hoyt Nexus

Hello everyone

I have a used Hoyt Nexus but it's missing a major component, the clicker plate. Would anyone know where I can obtain one from.
The ones on eBay don't come with any screws, so I'd be struggling to fix it to the riser.

Thx

Is there a clicker fitted to the riser? If so, does that screw fit the hole for the extension plate? If it does, I think the size is 6-32. You may be able to buy the screws from an archery outlet or engineer supplies.

Hi Westbrom_mark,
Yes, I know it came without the plate, but did it come with a clicker? If it did ,the screw for the clicker might fit the hole for the plate. If that screw fits, it is likely to be 6-32 so you could get a plate from ebay then get a screw from an archery shop or engineering place.

Perhaps the next time you go to the club you could ask if anyone has a screw for a clicker. They might let you try their clicker screw in your riser. The other main size is m4 so if their screw is too big to fit in your riser yours will probably be 6-32.

Cheers everyone. It's the club that are pushing for me to use a clicker for tournaments but as I've an older riser no one seems to have a clue.

iexpesports.nl are showing one but no price. May well be out of stock but could be worth dropping an email.

Some Australian sites are also showing them but shipping is always expensive.

Sometimes archers get the idea that older bows are totally different from current ones. It is easy enough to see why that is when you notice all the different shapes and so on. But the screw sizes don't change that much. The only problem is knowing whether it's the metric sizes or imperial. American gear tends to be imperial so 6-32 is the most likely size. Longrods tend to be imperial too.

Reading your original post it sounds like you are missing the plate the clicker strikes. If you only need a clicker then 6/32 is the proper thread size. Beiter has them as well as Win&Win and probably a dozen other manufacturers.

Do you need the plate with screw or just a clicker?

I thought, after reading one of your earlier posts on here, that you could source the plate but they had no screws with them. 6-32 should be available from one or other of the archery outlets.
If you are really stuck for the plate, I can make one if you make a template from something like an old plastic card.

Well I think I'm sorted now. Sourced a plate off flea bay but had to size it down as it didn't fit reassess. Got a screw from diy outlet.
Again thanks for all your input
