    Bow weight.

Same problem here. I invested in a Carbon Fibre riser - which was not cheap! Even then I had to remove my side stabilisers and just have a front rod.

    Danish Oil Finish

I applied it with my finger to ensure that it was not applied too thickly. On my next set I went back to using indoor gloss varnish.

    Danish Oil Finish

Thank you for your detailed method of apply a danish oil finish. The problem I quoted was not the application but the 'tackiness' on drying.

    Danish Oil Finish

I am in the process of making some more wooden arrows. With this set I used 3 coats of Danish Oil as the finish. After a week it was still 'tacky', so what to do? I went on the 'net' and psoted the problem about the sticky finish. The solution posted was rub it down with olive oil and buff to a...

    Artifical pitch

The cost is what puts most clubs off artificial turf. I walk past two artificial football pitches on my way to our range and in the summer months (both of them) the plastic stinks.

    Archery and arthritis. Battling on.

I feel your pain being a sufferer of osteoarthritis myself. Mine is causing scoliosis resulting in limited movement of lower back and neck. I am way too old for surgery - even if it was offered - not much chance of that in the current NHS climate. All we can do is 'try and modify out technique'...

    Arrow-Fix Tool

Thank you for the replies. I think he has lost interest in footed arrows. He is not 'technically minded' enough to go to the trouble of making a jig for router or wood plane!

    Arrow-Fix Tool

Lots of views. No replies. It looks as though it is not a very popular tool for wooden arrow makers!

    Arrow-Fix Tool

A shooting friend of mine wants to make footed arrows. I showed him my homemade jig that uses a router to produce a ' 4 wing' type footing. But he said it was too complicated! I suggested an 'Arrow-fix' tool! He says he cannot find one for sale in the U.K. Have they gone out of favour?

    Irondale Longbows?

I can recommend Irondale for quality bows. I have purchased two from him as has a fellow archer. You will not be dissapointed.

    Low poundage arrows

Interesting discussion. Have you watched the 'junior shoots' that were televised. Because they could not get arrows with a low enough spine they used 'overlong arrows' to get around the problem. Think about increasing your arrow length it may help.

If you paid by credit card - usually the method of payment. Contact the credit card company and state goods not received. It works for me!

KG Vertex Riser and Uukha Limbs Brace Height

I shot the bow yesterday in those almost gale force winds at times. Really happy with the way the bow behaves now. I even managed to hit the boss at 60m!

    Tiller Bolt Settings

When I have my bow setup I mark my tiller bolts with a permanant sharpie marker in line with the riser/tiller bolt. Then if I alter them I have some idea of where they should be!

KG Vertex Riser and Uukha Limbs Brace Height

Looks like it Geophys2. It really does perform much better with the '0' tiller. It just goes to show how difficult it can be to setup a recurve when using different manufacturers equipment. I am really looking forward to shooting this combintion now.

KG Vertex Riser and Uukha Limbs Brace Height

I should have stated that the 10" brace height is measured from the back of the bow and is approximately 2 1/4" shorter when measured from the throat of the grip. It may go against general setups but it works with this combination of riser and limbs.
