    Glueing Taper Nocks

I always used plain snd simple clear Bostik. Never had any problems with them coming off, or of removing damaged nocks.

    Pressure button...?

I'd definitely recommend downloading the Easton Arrow Tuning and Maintenance Guide. The first 6 pages or so give excellent advice on the initial setting-up of your bow. https://eastonarchery.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/TuningGuideEaston.pdf

    Club Coaching

While we're on the subject, one of our club's committee members has said that Archery GB require all beginners to use 32" arrows for safety. Can anyone confirm this?

Maybe I was a gunslinger in a previous lifetime!

    Barebow Aiming

At a friend's house over the holidays I ended up playing some sort of Sci-Fi 3-D shooting game using "pistols" and Virtual Reality goggles and involving random moving targets. I found it difficult to aim the guns on the moving targets using their sights, so changed to shooting from the hip, and...

    The Archery Shop-Online

Checking my account, I see I've placed 14 orders with them in the last 4 years, with good prices and very quick service. So it's a shame to see that they've gone downhill lately. It's not looking good, but I hope they can pull themselves out of this situation.

    Barebow Aiming

I was using "instinctive" for the lack of a better word to describe shooting without using an actual aiming point on either the bow or the arrow. And from the sound of it, apparently it takes an awful lot of practice; as I'm rubbish at darts maybe I should stick to using a sight and whatever...

    Low poundage arrows

I'm in a similar position following injury and am using X7s. At 27" with 32lb OTF Im using 1614s with a spine of 1157. You can also get 1514 at 1384. One of our new lady members who is only using 18lb limbs has some Easton alloys that really do look like knitting needles. Platinum Plus go down...

What shot cycle is taught by British coaches?

So what is the American way?

    Short sightedness

Scotsrick, you're actually long sighted if the target is in focus and the sight pin is blurred, a problem I share. I use an adjustable iris sight, which makes things a lot easier.

    The Archery Shop-Online

That's very disappointing if true. I have used them for years, and have always had good prices and excellent service. Goods ordered earlier this year on a Sunday, and arrived on the Tuesday. Unlike others they work on Mondays.

KG Vertex Riser and Uukha Limbs Brace Height

Sorry, I can't follow you here. You say the KG height for 68" is 9.5", ie, 241mm, measured to the Back (ie the "front") of the bow. Back in the day, my old 66" Marksman bow was about 10.5" to the Back of the bow. I would double check the KG information very carefully. As Steve Stills said...

Interesting vid if you are considering a new riser, or are kitting out kids.

For 30m or less, I shoot X7s. FAR cheaper than X10s etc., and more than good enough for me. If I was only shooting in my garden, I certainly wouldn't use anything allegedly better.

    What size bow

Definitely wait. We always advise those completing our course to take an experienced archer with them when buying equipment, but most "know better" and often end up with unsuitable, or needlessly expensive, equipment.

    Points for ACC Arrows

    I use 70 grain on my 2L-04 1020 spine, and 80 grain on the 2-04 920 spine.

I'm interesting shooting field for the first time

Isn't life complicated these days? In the early 70s our vlub secretary would receive details of local shoots, and say for example "There's an Albion at ***** on the 19th September; who can't go?" So when it was a field shoot, it was just a case of reading the GNAS Rules of Shooting and having a...
