Arrow making questions

I have two questions about making arrows. BOth relate to a 50lb Bowtech Compound.

1. When making arrows how do you decide what weight point to put into the arrow. I understand the Easton spine selection charts but then you still get a choice on points.

2. I started with all of the dozen of my arrows weighing the same. Now after a year of use they vary not b much but from 284-298gns is there anything I can do to make them the same again - or is it not worth worrying about as I'm only second class.

Reedy, in answer to qu 2 you could try taking out the points and changing them around, putting the lighest into the heaviest shaft and so on. That way you might close the range of weights, even if they don't all weigh the same as each other.
