we shoot a max of 2 to a boss and pull our own arrows, no filling of each others scoresheets, just a verbal confirmation. Clean down trolleys etc at the end of the session.
As for cross contamination from the presence of another person's arrows the stats show there has been no proven incidence of people catching covid in such a manner, worldwide there hasnt even been a case where people have caught it on a train and certainly not by handling money so you have nothing (statistically speaking) to worry about.
The virus has mutated so much in the last 6 months it is as similar to the original killer virus as we are to paleolithic stone age man. The real problem is our
government and most of the others havent got their heads around this and dont really have aproper plan as to how to protect the really vulnerable and busy themselves trying to avoid any sort of liability when they are called to account at sometime in the future.
AGB is even worse, it is so risk averse it is a wonder we are doing any shooting at all.
If you treat the risk as a numbers game the reality si you are unlikely to ever meet a stranger who is infectious and if you do you will have only a tiny percentage chance of catching it from them and then a tiny chance it will be harmful to you. if you areover 85 and shooting from your hospital bed then igniore this, the chances of you catching the virus is twice as high as from being in a pub and you stand a 25% chance of dying but then it will be evens whether it is CV or the illness you are in hospital for in the first place that does for you. that still give you a 75% chance of recovery from covid though. If you are under 80 the odds of being killed by medical neglignce far outweighs death from covid so avoid hospital at all costs.
In short, do what make you happy as far as infection control goes, at our club the most likely place to pick up the virus is the gate we have to lock as we leave....
