Experience of my first 3D archery course

Last weekend, I was at Braintree Bowmen. It was a long course, with 28 targets. Fortunately, I was put in a group of people I knew, which makes it a lot easier.

I only knew my crawl for 20yards, (being a novice stringwalker and until then, only started stringwalking indoors this season).

It was a long day, with a lot of laughs and only one damaged arrow. I shot a lot better than I realised, finishing 3rd in the barebow category. I am now addicted to 3D archery - it was so much fun. When I finished, I didn't even know if my score was any good, so it was a great surprise when I got my medal

Given time you'll want to try longbow, then primitive and finally you'll end up living in cave making stone arrow heads ;)
