I've just made my first string which turned out ok but I am ready to serve the centre, is it best to serve it untwisted or at full brace height twisted ?

It would be interesting to run some tests to find out if it makes any difference and if so, what those differences are.
I find it easier to serve on a tight string that is already twisted.
Every Flemish twist string I've ever used from new has had to settle in..
Now when I don't even bother with nocking points until it's settled.
Doesn't take long just shoot a couple of dozen arrows for a couple of days and monitor and adjust the brace height.
Thanks for the replies, glad I asked as my thinking was when you twist the string up it tightened the serving, yes I will settle it in first as it isn't the tightest braiding as I did it in my fingers

I'm hopefully going to make my own Flemish twist.. I've got a spool of D50 (?7) and a serving tool (?5) and serving thread.
Just need to make the time ;-). Maybe after the National champs...
