do you have to put any grease or silicone spray on the wheel things of a compound bow and the cables.thanks
Generally... no. Most bows now. as far as I have experienced, have sealed bearings. You will need to wax the string and cables but avoid the served areas as these will only attract dirt and, where they wrap around the cams, increase wear.

Hi, only asking just in case - I wouldn't want to see anyone hurt. If you've got a problem with the bow that you think may be solved by grease/silicone get it checked out as they're not supposed to squeak - you might have a cam problem such as excessive lean which might cause a derail (string comes off). If there's no issue then as per KidCurry's post.

Beware of any mineral oil or grease on plastic parts (string is plastic) it can degrade some plastics to the point of disintegration.

A creaking or squeaking whilst drawing is often a limb rubbing in it's pocket, quite often the solution is a small amount of silicone grease in the offending pocket.

An easy fix but it can require pressing the bow.
