WA book 2 article 7.1.1.5 used to state
"All athletes of a division or category will be accommodated on one range. The women's portion of the range will be separated from the men's by a clear lane at least five meters wide. For the Olympic Round there will be a central clear lane of approximately 10 meters"
whereas it now simply states
"All athletes in a category shall be assigned to one field of play"
Although the field layout diagram (confusingly) still shows a diagram showing a minimum 10 meter gender separation, but the targets at 90 and 70!!! (so not an Olympic round...)

To my point - I interpret this to mean
  1. There is no longer a separation requirement between ladies and gents targets
  2. There never was a separation requirement between ladies and juniors (as one judge recently took it upon himself to impose)

Can anyone out there in the know, clarify the ruling as it stands now? (with reference to actual rules, or documented interpretation from an appropriately qualified source i.e. World Archery, not a GNAS judge personal interpretation.

Thanks in advance
