Should all club activities be cancelled?

We had a good measure over the weekend, and can set up a 10m (or yard) target, with our back fence and a considerable amount of shrubbery as a backstop behind. No risk to anyone else, since the field behind our garden isn't much used except by the farmer, and we can always tell when he's in there with his tractor.
Why not turn your range around, so stand at the end of your garden with the target next to the house? That way, if you miss, its your windows (your pets and your loved ones) that cop it, rather than the unexpected rambler, curious young boy or lost dog. Fences and shrubbery dont stop arrows, but a judge will always be more lenient on you if its your own kin that you've slaughtered, rather than some poor unsuspecting soul

Blunt, but likely true.

I was at the NFAS champs in 2007 when an arrow skipped off the top of a target and flew out of the course onto the next course, and struck an archer in the chest. Luckily he was fine, but don't think your leylandii are going to stop an arrow when a wood can't always do it.

Oh, don't worry, we do know that shrubbery won't stop anything.
We haven't actually set up yet (other things took precedence), but our plan as it stands is that only one of us will shoot at a time, and the other one will watch out for any strays of any nature. We've no wish to shoot anything at all, much less a person or their dog, so we're planning on stopping immediately anyone hoves into view in the field (and we've got a clear view all ways for at least 300 yards), or if any of our neighbours are out in their garden. We will be taking extreme care.
