Simplest cresting machine ever!

For the price of a drill bit the size of the shafts to be crested, a machine can be made, in the time it takes to drill one hole.
Drill the hole through the centre of the clear plastic door of the washing machine.
Push the shaft through until it stops at the back of the drum, in the centre.
If challenged about the hole, explain that it is a quick way to remove cigarettes, worms and pencils, that get put in by mistake with the washing. When not in use, the hole can be plugged with BluTack, making it easier to find the Blu Tack in future.
Using a zimmer frame or similar, rest the hand that is painting the shaft, in a suitable position on the frame.
NOTE, do not set for reverse tumble, and make sure you start a wash cycle that does not include fast spin, otherwise your shirt will get a stripe up the front, and the ceiling gets one, too.

This is great and so much easier to make than the other one which was detailed here recently. Thanks Geoff and PS, do you have a spare washing machine door?

I have actually. It's been leaking a bit recently.
Somebody shot an arrow through it; and tried to say it was stage one of a cresting machine.
