String serving tool

PLEASE HELP TO FUND ARCHERY INTERCHANGE
Hi Geoff,
Gave you last comments some thoughts.
Maybe you could use a sewing machine shuttle spool. Quite narrow and easy to fill on a sewing machine.
Dead cheap and readily available. You could have a whole range of colours and types to hand.
The down side would be limited capacity with serving thread as opposed to sewing thread.

Going back to the original thread (ha ha), its surprising to me that no one seems to have heard of DroopSnoop and that their web site can't be found.

Dennacher.

The DroopSnoot is an old design( I think)... I seem to remember similar things being made at home by archers in the 60's.
They were small and used the reels you describe. The good thing about them is that when finishing off the serving by winding back , the small tool is very easy to manage.
