Two Colour/Candy Stripe Strings

Are they legal, or are they considered to offer a marked string?

I like my black and yellow string, but if there is any doubt I'd rather make up some single colour strings now...

I've never heard of anyone having any problems, and although I don't have the rule book to hand, I'm sure there is nothing in the rules against multicoloured strings.

I've shot at record status events with 4 tone strings before and never had a problem.

Certainly legal for GNAS shoots.
GNAS Rules of Shooting 202.b.i, defining the bowstring for recurves, allows "any number of strands that may be of different colours".

Target shoots dont matter. They dont have a rule. however field shoots I dont know. I know they use to have a rule but I think they may have relaxed on it a bit. I know they banned a particular serving colour years ago. It was a rainbow design. If you dont shoot field rounds then dont worry.

Cool thanks. Only trouble is I now have to buy reels of black and yellow so I can make my own strings... Ah well it's only money :)

My Matrix looks lovely with it's new blue and silver strings. Worth an extra 10 points - even if only in my mind! :mind-blow

It's not against the rules, looks good and will give you something to do on those cold and wet winter nights. Go for it!!!!!

I like two for keeping the placement of fingers/tab on the string the same each time.
So do I but if you use a finger separater you can slide the top of the tab gap down the string until it butts against the top brass nock and get a good location.

NFAS Barebow: The bowstring may be of different colours as long as they run continuously and evenly throughout the string's length, but the serving shall be of one colour. One nocking point is permitted.
