As kids, we decided to light a small bonfire on November 5th by using fire arrows. I had a "real bow" bought from a toy shop, so was the chosen archer. I tied a rag round the arrow and soaked it in a bit of paraffin. We lit the arrow and I aimed high and shot towards the bonfire. We lost sight of the arrow in the darkness, but the blazing rag showed up very well about two feet from my shoes. Inertia can be troublesome at times.
