bow arm elbow..

Hi,
What is the most common tendon/muscle injury that effects the bow arm elbow? I've never had this myself but I am just interested.
Is it a form of tennis elbow? Or a tendonitis? What would cause it?

Thanks
S.

If you've already got a tennis elbow type problem it can make it worse. Pulling arrows can cause tennis elbow style injuries. Gripping the bow can do the same. Tennis elbow is pretty much the same as tendonitis.

Gripping does not necessarily have to be during the shot. If the archer takes a grab or has an exaggerated post shot finish with a heavy bow that can cause the problem too. All that bent wrist bow rollover can stress on a straight elbow.
