Gillo G1 Recurve format

Hi, I thought I'd just post my experience with the Gillo G1 as a recurve. 99.9% of people who know this bow think of it as a barebow. It is a very sucessful barebow riser. It has endless ways to weight the riser. Compared to my ATFX which I use for Fita rounds, the G1 is heavier. I'll use the G1 for 3d and Field. It appealed because it's not incredibly expensive. It's fantastic value. It's solidly built. Also the design is unfussy and ergonomic. It'll be easy to haul it through a forest course. The paint finish is great too. It's a kind of a matt finish. The factory grip is medium. Does the job but I swapped it out to one that similiar to the ATFX. Because its a well known brand you'll easily find custom grips for this. Shooting it is great. It balanced out well with the identical shrewd set up I used on the ATFX. It's a very stable and fuss free bow to shoot. Tuning it was a breeze. Very predictable and worked fine with my W&W NS Woods.
