They just sent out an email saying they would be closed until 3rd January due to staff shortage.
Maybe longer than that! They just sent out an email saying they would be closed until 3rd January due to staff shortage.
Just had an email advert for their "Boxing Day Sale" which states, "ALL ORDERS PLACED OVER CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS ARE EXPECTED TO BE SHIPPED THE WEEK COMMENCING THE 1ST OF JANUARY!". Good Luck!Maybe longer than that!

I doubt there's any way they can turn things around now. It's a textbook case of how not to treat your customers.I'd like to think that they can still turn things around but I suspect that their brand has been tarnished too badly now.
I agree with the comment above about it being a bit sad. Certainly I will not place another order with them until there is a clear explanation of why they are taking orders and not fulfilling them. Why they are advertising sales when they cannot serve customers etc. An “oh some staff were ill” is not going to be enough, if you can’t run the business you have to put it on hold - despite the challenges associated with that.
I hope they can turn it around but it certainly does not look good.

I live nearby too which meant I could collect online orders. It's a real shame. I live near the shop and pre-pandemic, used to go in there probably every couple of weeks on average and always came out with something, even if it wasn't what I went there for.
