Mathews Genuine String - missing peep sight thread?

I'm fitting a string and cable set for a friend and noticed something rather odd about the string. It has no thread through the string for the peep sight placement. Is it normal for Mathews genuine strings to not have the usual bit of thread?

No problem for a 2 colour string, but if it's a solid string, just count the strands and separate equally!

Ok, sounds like it's standard practice then. I would not say that it's normal though. Lazy is what I would say it is.

Agreed, if I make a solid colour compound string I always tie some serving around the equal half for easier peep fitting

It was 2 colour.. sort of. Black/white and brown/white. Not easy to tell the strands apart nor easy to ensure that I haven't pulled a strand around another.
